Dr. Kristin “Kristy” Marie Krizmanich-Conniff M.D., 39, passed away suddenly from an accident on June 14, 2020 leaving behind her loving husband, Tony, and her young children: Ryder, Chloe, and Scarlett.
Born to Tom and Diana Krizmanich on March 6, 1981, Kristy's youth was filled with dancing, swimming and cheerleading. She was blessed with a photographic memory and when combined with her compassion made her unstoppable in academics and social groups.
She graduated as Salutatorian from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn, Michigan. She thrived in undergraduate school at the University of Michigan and went on to receive a full ride scholarship to Wayne State University's School of Medicine. At Wayne State, Kristy set herself apart with the ability to earn top grades while still keeping her priorities in maintaining her long-term friends, remaining a committed daughter and sister, and still enjoing a healthy social life and truly living each day to the fullest.
Kristy was a combination of strength and style in her whitecoat as she arrived at University of Michigan for her radiology residency. Having three young children in residency, Kristy centered herself on what mattered most. She was able to find balance, be present, and remain healthy, despite the constant demands of work and family life.
Her children were the foundation of everything Kristy did and loved. She was the most graceful, fun, and organized mother. Yet, she was realistic, witty and certainly never let her children beat her in any tennis match or golf game. Kristy learned these sports alongside her children later in life and she was an extraordinary teammate for all that had the opportunity to compete with her.
In her 39 years on this earth, Kristy accomplished and experienced a lifetime's worth of achievements and memories. It has been said, those we love never truly leave us and there are things that death cannot touch. Likewise, through Dr. Kristy KC Foundation, Kristy's death will now illuminate a path for other to seize every moment as she had done.
Kristy’s family would like to thank all that have donated. It has been a true testament to the love that Kristy poured into all her relationships and her memory will now live on through others.
