In October 2020, RMI dedicated its women’s imaging wing as the Kristin Krizmanich Conniff Women’s Imaging Center for her enthusiastic dedication to the field of medical imaging and her compassionate work with breast cancer patients.
Diagnosing breast cancer in early stages has saved lives, a task Dr. Krizmanich-Conniff undertook with characteristic grace, warmth and a bright smile,” said Dr. Randy Hicks, CEO of RMI. “This spirit will live on through the work of the dedicated team at this center named after her.”
Krizmanich-Conniff, affectionately known to the RMI staff as “Dr. K.K.,” joined RMI in 2012 following a breast imaging fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit from 2011-2012. She specialized in mammograms and was instrumental in guiding RMI to adopt cutting-edge breast imaging technology, including the development of the Screening Breast MRI program.
